Welcome!
Hello students and parents, I want to warmly welcome you to my studio! Music lessons build skills such as collaboration, creativity, and discipline, which benefit students for the rest of their lives. That is the reason I am highly passionate about teaching—music teaches students such important lessons, all whilst giving them enjoyable experiences. I also love how music provides one with a lifetime of entertainment and access to the music community. Whether or not a student is going into music, I want to give them the musical tools they need to enjoy musical activities for the rest of their lives, as well as help them find their voice through music.
Payment
The first lesson is FREE, so that we can see whether it is a good fit without the financial commitment.
Rate: $70/hour, $55/45 minutes, or $40/half hour
Students pay in advance of each month during their first lesson of the month, either by Venmo, check, or cash.
If a student is sick, their lesson payment rolls over to the next month.
If the student cancels for a non-health reason, I will do my best to move the lesson to another day/time, but there is no lesson refund whether or not we reschedule.
Scheduling/Location
On weekends, I teach out of the Earl V. Moore building, which is the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance building.
I am open to teaching out of other schools, but not homes.
I am seeking to teach private lessons in schools around the Metro Detroit area.
A spreadsheet with lesson times is sent out each semester (in January, May, and September). It is first-come, first-served, but if there are issues, please feel free to shoot me an email.
